Meet The Farmer With Shu Takikawa

aybe you’ve walked by his lettuce at the Farmer’s Market, and stopped in your tracks because you’re never seen lettuce quite like it. The lettuce heads are curly, buttery, and simply beautiful. The farmer’s name is Shu, and that lettuce is no accident. In fact, all of Shu Takikawa’s produce is grown with tremendous care. We always look forward to using Shu’s produce, which is why we’ve invited Shu and his wife Debbie to be our guests of honor at our next MEET THE FARMER DINNER.

Our next “Meet the Farmer Dinner” will take place on November 17th at Goodland Kitchen. Chef Erik Stenberg will prepare a 5-course meal where the majority of the ingredients will come directly from Shu and Debbie’s farm. If you’ve never heard of “The Garden Of…”, here is a beautiful story about Shu, his outstanding lettuce, and how his farm got his name.
